About ScamInfo.ai

The barrier to entry for cybercrime has been reduced dramatically over the last decade. Increased connectivity and availability of tools such as AI have made it increasingly easy for potential threat actors to employ sophisticated online tactics. This trend, dubbed the ‘democratization of cybercrime’ is a worrying development where tools such as AI make it ever more simple for threat actors to target the most vulnerable citizens in our societies. The damage of these developments is clearly visible in official data, loss statistics pertaining to cyber crime are increasing year-over-year in most jurisdictions, and consumer tools have not kept pace with the increasing sophistication of tools now employed by threat actors.

In order to meet the growing sophistication of tools employed by threat actors, Scaminfo set out to develop a website checker that aims to deliver a more holistic analysis of target websites. Where classic website checkers are still very narrow in their analysis, focussing solely on a selection of concrete narrow metrics, Scaminfo goes beyond that by actively scraping target websites and analysing the totality of collected data, from narrow datapoints like Whois and SSL records, to abstract semantic information pulled straight from the target website, and analysing it in its totality with AI. This method allows us to make a much more informed decision on the safety of the target website in order to protect our users.

"We work with scam victims every week. What strikes us most is not that people are careless, it is that the tools available to them simply haven't kept pace with modern fraud. Scaminfo.ai changes that. We built it to be the resource we wish our clients had found before they needed us.
